    Tips you wish you'd known:

    * The "Grand Fantasia" being referred to from the Siwa quest is actually the blue book in your inventory. Do not throw away this book as it gives you rewards as you reach milestones in your adventuring life.

    * The game's tutorial doesn't tell you that you can actually learn some novice skills from the newbie trainer which can make your battle against the giant in Siwa island easier.

    * If you kill enough of the fishmen in Siwa island, they can drop a book that gives you a quest for extra XP!

    * You can buy your first bags from ANY general store merchant (they're on the 2nd page). You can also buy bullets and arrows from her.

    * Speaking of bullets, Guns require bullets and Bows require arrows on the ammo slot in order to function. Firearms and Bow Sprites can make bullets and arrows (respectively).

    * Difference between guns and bows ? Guns = higher damage / slower attack speed Bows = lower damage / higher attack speed

    * Staff are 2 handed weapons. You cannot dual wield 2 handed weapons. (Someone actually asked me that).

    * 1 VIT = 40 HP, 1 STR = 3 ATK, 1 WIL = 20 EN, 1 AGI = 3 R.ATK

    * STR = ATK/BLOCK RATE, VIT = DEF/HP, INT = MATK/M.CRIT, WIL = EN/M.DEF, AGI = EVA/P.CRIT/R.ATK

    * Who can dual wield ? Archers > Assassins (lvl 15/31 swords only), Berzerkers (lvl 31 swords/axe/hammer), Sages (lvl 31 hammer only)

    * Fortification clovers: regular (10%), lucky (25%), blessed (100%)

    * Alchemy clovers: regular (15%), lucky (35%), blessed (100%)

    * Sprite King Blessings 1 (100%, 30 and below), Sprite King Blessings 2 (100%, 45 and below), Sprite King Blessings 3 (100%, 60 and below), Sprite King Blessings 4 (100%, 75 and below). Sprite King Blessing guarantees that your next craft attempt will be an instant success for the next 30 minutes. The effect is consumed immediately after crafting. One use per crafting attempt.

    * Weapons with the [Unique] tag of the same kind (same name) cannot be dual wielded. You can dual wield 2 different unique weapons.

    * Essences can drop from the various bosses and mini-bosses in the instanced dungeons. Prairie cave is your first instanced dungeon with 4 bosses (3 + 1 hidden boss). Emissary of Greed is a level 30 boss while the others are in the 20s. Do not forget to purchase the extra kill quest from the bulletin board besides the instance dungeons. These kill quest gives (random) equipment and even (very rarely) special mounts as rewards

    * Be sure to acquire all the boss quest when you talk to the npcs for the dungeon introduction quest. You will need to complete all the boss kill quest in order to access the lair of the final boss of that dungeon, plus you will need a dungeon key (which is consumed per use).

    * Be sure your sprite's XP bar is at least 75% before releasing in order to avoid a steep rep penalty to the sprite messanger faction. The game will warn you if you do not have enough XP in your sprite.

    * Only your guardian (primary) sprite can evolve. Wild sprites (those you acquire thru a summoning item) cannot evolve. First evolution is at level 20, second evolution is at 50. Your character needs to be level 21, 51 (respectively).

    * Sprite soda can elevate your sprite's mood by one level (normal becomes happy becomes elated). Those can be bought from the sprite vendor located in every capital city for 45 silvers (quite steep for newbies).

    * Magic School, Treasury Appraisal, Iron Stone Association faction are cruicial later in the game. They sell you some of your level 50+ talents. Yes they are very annoying to acquire.

    * Epic weapon components for lvl 50 epic weapons require access to the mutated prairie cave dungeon (which you can access by completing normal prairie cave and be in a raid party). Note: this is a level 45 10 man raid dungeon and the mobs are much much more powerful (hit very very hard and have more HP). Components for level 60 epic weapons require access to the mutated condemned mine dungeon (lvl 55).

    * When a quest has a (REP) tag it means it is repetitive quest. It doesn't necessarily give reputation as reward (but many of them does). Some gives XP and gold as rewards while, some give temporary mounts or reputation.

    * Repetitive quest that gives reputation as reward have a rep cap, meaning once you have reach the maximum amount of reputation for that quest it will stop giving you the quest.

    * When a quest has a (Party) tag on it means the challenge might be beyond what a single adventurer can overcome by themselves. Gather your friends and allies together to overcome the challenge!

    * Grand Fantasia has a talent system (it allows you to customize your character somewhat). You can access the talent menu by pressing "K". Your talents need to be "activated" before it comes into effect. You activate a talent by clicking once and then drag-drop the icon into the empty slots located on the left side of the window.

    * Some combinations of talent can form a Talent Combo. These talent combo adds more bonuses on top of the base talents.

    Example:
    Axe specialist + Light Arm specialist = Light Axe Warrior
    Hammer specialist + Light Arm specialist = Law Enforcement Captain

    * At level 45, you gain access to Masteries. Masteries lets you obtain special abilities that further enhances your character. You need to allocate XP to your masteries in order to level them up (2 points per mastery level up from the start). IMPORTANT NOTE: Dying will also reduce your mastery XP by 10% as well as 10% from your regular XP pool. Yes this is a harsh harsh world.

    * To access the in-game cash shop window press "i".

    * You can split a stack by SHIFT-Clicking (or right clicking) on the stack and select the amount you wish to split.

    * You do not lose any XP for dying inside an instanced dungeon.

    * However for dying anywhere else, you lose 10% of your total XP for that level, plus 10% of your armor durability and 10% mastery XP (if applicable). You will NEVER de-level (Thank God!).

    * If your total weapon or armor durability reaches 0/0 it means the equipment can no longer be repaired normally (in effect it is destroyed). You can use a greater blacksmith repair hammer to restore it to maximum durability.

    * BUYER ALERT: Beware of people trying to sell equipment in the auction house with 0/0 durability. These are products of failed fortification attempts. Not necessarily a scam but the same just be aware of what you are buying and always check the durability of the item.

    * Having high relationship with your sprite will lower the cost of it's labor and also slightly improves the chance of salvaging (return the green/orange item ingredient of) a failed crafting attempt.

    * Left Ctrl + Left Click Give you Previews of items. (Thanks Zyrein <3)

    * If you die in an instance, you DO NOT lose 10% Mastery EX.

    * The TAB key can be used to target monsters around you.

    * The XP cost of the mastery points remains the same (3.5m XP per point). It cost 2 point per level 45 mastery skill level (tier 1), while it cost 4 points per lvl 60 mastery skill level (tier 2) and 6 points per lvl 75 mastery skill level. Thanks for the update!

    * You can ride a mount starting level 20 and can purchase a perm mount from the city mount vendors at level 40 (requires 16,000 rep with the city's faction).

    * You can link an item to chat by left ALT + left clicking the item in your inventory.

    * You can use sun talent starting lvl 46 but you must first do a quest to unlock your sun talents. Level 50 to use Sun Talent 2 and Lvl 54 to use Sun Talent 3.

    * Magic treasure map and legendary treasure map can very very rarely drop a dragon mount.

    * Left ALT + Left Click will allow you to link objects in your inventory to the chat window.

    * Many permanent items such as sprite costumes, furnitures, mounts, costumes can be archived. To access the archieve press L then select the archive section. It will save your inventory from needless clutter. Also archived items can be access by any character in the same account.

    * The auction house can be access from any capital city (jale, ilya or kaslow) as well as Angoya City. It is a very useful place to sell your excess gear and items. The auction house in all cities are connected to each other as well as to all channels in a server.

    * A 5% posting tax is levied from your money pool based on the amount you have posted (i.e. a 100g item will levy a 5g posting fee). Your item will be posted on the AH system for 24 hours. If your items are not sold after 24 hours it is returned to you via the in-game mail box. If your item is sold the money will be mailed to your in-game mail box.

    * You can sell excess repetitive quest items for extra money.

    * You can customize your chat interface (to a certain degree). Simply right click on the chat tab name and select "Edit Message Filters".

    * You can be lover with just about anyone including someone with the same gender as your character. If you are on the same map as your lover you gain a 10% xp bonus. You do not need to be in the same party as your lover to gain that bonus.

    * Lovers share the same lover point pool. The lover skills can only be cast on your lover, not on yourself and consumes MP. They have a relatively low cooldown and last 10 minutes.

    * 2 resonance stones of the same type socketed can produce visual effects on a 1 handed weapons and 4 on 2 handed weapons. Max resonance stones for 1H weapon is 3. Max resonance stones for 2H is 6. Shields and relics are considered 1H weapon hence 3 is the max. Chest armor max resonance stone is 2, the rest of the armor pieces can have 1 slot. Socketing armor with resonance stones will not produce any additional visual effects but some high level armor have their own special effects.

    * The sprite emblem removal device (cash shop item) can safely retrieve a sprite emblem from a sprite. A window will pop up to let you select which emblem to remove. The retrieved emblem will appear on your inventory.

    * A resonance stone remover (cash shop item) will remove a resonance stone from a weapon. The removed resonance stone is destroyed. A window will pop up allowing you to select which resonance stone to remove.

    * A chisel can be used to permanently create a resonance stone slot on a weapon or armor. The chisel is used up when used (successfully or not). When a slot creation has failed it will reduce the item's current durability to 0 (like in fortification) and must be repaired for further attempt. A crystal chisel is guaranteed to create a slot for weapons/armor level 60 and under unless the item has reached it's maximum slot capacity.

    * The Ruby Ring you get as a quest reward inside Old Siwa Island dungeon (lvl 45+) can be exchanged with younger Babama (inside the dungeon) for a weapon costume called Babama's Mace.

    * A weapon costume changes the graphical appearance of your weapons on hand but not the stats. They are considered "costumes" and cannot be enhanced in anyway (yet).

    * Pressing the q button on the objective section of the quest log will show you where target mobs spawn. While pressing the same icon on the quest giver section will auto-move you to the quest giver npc if you are on the same map.

    * Tier 1 sprite caps at lvl 20, Tier 2 sprite caps at lvl 50, Tier 3 sprites caps at lvl 75.

    * Sprite King blessing feature cost 3000g and requires level 5 guild, Guild Base feature cost 6000g and requires level 6 guild. All funds are drawn from your guild treasury. Money deposited to the guild tresury cannot be withdraw by anyone not even by the guild leader/founder.

    * A guild base gives your guild an instanced guild castle to hang around in as well as various NPCs (vendors, guild banks, bank) as well as access to your guild banks and guild farm. Future feature will include a "guild dungeon" located inside the halls of your guild. Entering your guild base is like going into a new channel and is accessible to members of your guild in all channels.

    * Decorating your guild base with a custom guild banner cost 500g. Putting up a statue of your guild member inside the guild base cost 500g PER statue.

    * Pressing F after targetting someone will make your avatar auto-follow them around.

    * Sprite dueling requires a "Sprite Stage Invitation". They cost 1 gold and can be bought from any sprite vendor npc. Only sprite of 2nd evolution or higher can participate in a sprite duel. The player must at least be level 20 and above to access the feature. Only your (primary) guardian sprite can do sprite duel. Wild sprite simply cannot duel.

    * Wearing certain sprite costumes will increase your sprite's lethality with certain attacks or protection against certain attacks during sprite duel.

    * Sprite dueling is like a mini-game of rock, paper and scissors. Counter beats Quick Strike beats Strike beats Counter. Make your best guess as to what your opponent's move would be in order to win. The winning sprite is the last one standing.

    Counter > Quick Strike
    Quick Strike > Strike
    Strike > Counter

    * Winning a sprite duel will award you with a <Sprite Arena Victory Rune>. Turning in 10 <Sprite Arena Victory Rune> will reward you with a <Challenge winner's fortune bag> *

    * After hitting level 60 and finishing/collecting all the milestones in your Grand Fantasia book you may turn in to Babama in Prism Island Prairie for the Advanced Grand Fantasia book which offers even more expert level rewards.

    * Many repetitive quest in Prism Island Prairie must be unlocked first by doing the primary storyline quests.

    * A list of all dungeons in the game and their recommended levels:
    Prairie Cave - lvl 20
